On Saturday, 18 October 2025, the Mahlako team embarked on a heartwarming community outreach trip to Ramphelane Secondary School in Manganeng, Limpopo. This initiative formed part of Mahlako’s ongoing commitment to making a tangible difference in local communities and the visit followed our Mandela Day efforts earlier this year, where staff members prepared exam packs for the matric learners. This time, the team personally delivered the exam packs and spent the day engaging with learners through motivational talks and sharing post matric opportunities.
The day was filled with inspiration, learning, dancing and meaningful connections. The Mahlako team members shared their personal academic and professional journeys, reflecting on what they studied, where they studied and the lessons learnt along the way. Their stories highlighted the value of perseverance, self-belief and education in unlocking opportunities, especially for learners from rural communities.
For many of the learners, it was a rare opportunity to interact with professionals who once walked a similar path and who now represent what is possible through hard work and determination. The team’s presence served as a reminder that no dream is too big and that the journey from Manganeng to success is achievable.
Mahlako is proud to share that Ramphelane Secondary School has now been formally adopted as part of our long-term commitment to community development. Through this partnership, Mahlako will continue to provide ongoing support, from educational initiatives and mentorship programmes to resources that promote academic excellence and access to opportunities. As part of this commitment, Mahlako staff members will continue to guide and mentor the learners through their final examinations and reconnect early next year to provide further support once matric results are released.
This outreach forms part of Mahlako’s broader vision of balancing growth, not only in business and investment but also in the communities that shape our collective future. The experience reminded us that true impact lies in connection, empowerment and giving back.
